I'm an early 30s art school drop out turned IT guy. I currently manage the IT group at a Boston based marketing company. .
Outside of work, I make things. Mostly costumes and replica movie props, but sometimes jewelry, maybe a back porch here and there, perhaps a new wall. I have felt the need to create things for as long as I can remember.
I've had a web site for a long time. I think my first vanity domain was in 1998 or so. The content has evolved, I've built some things and let them die, handed projects off to others, and generally just gone with whatever impulse moved me. Stormtrooperguy.com is just the latest in the series.
I post all over the place: 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, The Dented Helmet, Clone Empire and many others...
For years I've neglected to really maintain a site of my own. There are lots of posts from me about various things in various places, but no central repository of my "wisdom". This is an effort to change that.
By going with a wiki application, I'm taking out the hard parts and just worrying about content. No more editing code, building style sheets, etc...
This also gives me the potential of having other contributors as time goes on. But we'll get to that later...
