I've begun sculpting my own gauntlets, using the Wizardofflight templates on TDH as my guide.

A proper writeup will come eventually, but you can see the photos right now.

My gauntlets are fiberglass, by Man-o-War studios on TDH. Very, very nice work!

This is how they looked right out of the box:

As you can see, they were assembled, filled, sanded and ready to paint!

Shown here, side by side with my older ones.

And painted:

The paint was all done with rattlecans, using layered weathering. Primer was Rustoleum sandable grey. A base of whatever silver I had around. Latex masking fluid painted on for the damage. I then painted them completely with Rustoleum flat black, then misted over that a couple of times with Rustoleum "American Accents" Claret Wine. The Claret Wine tends to be somewhat pinkish until you get a few coats down, but using the black as a base produces an excellent gauntlet color with just 1 coat.

My first gauntlets were from ruffkin-toys on eBay. Below is the original gauntlets page:

They look nice, but are a bit thin. I am not sure how long they will last. I'm going to reinforce them a bit, and hope for the best.

This is the closest I came to a shot of the kit. You can see the assorted resin bits, and the vac-formed main parts.

I did a bunch of stuff to these, and took photos of none of it. Next thing you know, they are done

Well, like all things Fett, the first version of these, shown above, had to be upgraded! Here is the latest version:

These are the same base gauntlets. I cut them apart and added hinges to make them easier to open and close. I've now got aluminum darts and rocket, and a REAL Casio MQ-1 keypad. The LED works via the switch. I've cut off 2 of the hose connectors, and installed a fitting to attach the remaining hose to.

I also repainted them. I used the same Claret Wine paint, but this time misted it with black while it was still wet, which blended into a great color.

Here's a detail shot of the keypad:
