The Bradleyfett kits are really neat. It's a vacuum formed kit. It's smaller in size than the Mystery helmets - perfect for a smaller Fett. The kit comes undented, and without the "turn signals" on the forehead, so it's an excellent base for a custom. If you're taller than 5' 6" or so, or heavier in build, this will probably look misproportioned on you.

Assembly is fairly easy. The parts come untrimmed, so you'll need tools for that. I use a Dremel, others use a razor. I think the rotary tool offers more precision, but it's all about comfort level.

There are three major parts. Front, back and dome. Then you get the resin parts: RF topper, RF stalk, borden connector, and earcaps.

The kit doesn't have any detailed instructions, but here's what I came up with:

I lined the pieces up so that they all fit well and taped them together with masking tape for a test. When I was sure that the front and back were positioned properly (i.e. the dome fit), I connected them with some scrap plastic and a couple of rivets.

I tacked the dome in place with some 5 minute epoxy putty. This held it in place while I glued the rest in. I used Goop... your adhesive preference may vary.

Once it was all assembled I sealed the seams on the outside with latex caulking. It's flexible and takes paint well, so it's perfect for the job.

For the dent, I drew the outline in pencil then cut it out with the Dremel. I then mixed up a lump of 5 minute epoxy and pressed it into place, shaping the dent with my fingers and assorted small tools (paint brush handles, knives, whatever was around...)

The epoxy bonds to just about everything, but I coated the inside of that whole area with Goop anyway, just for good luck.

A template is included for the turn signals. Just trace the template onto the helmet and cut with your favorite tool

The resin parts were glued on with Goop.

Once it's got some paint on it, it reall shapes up!

Here it is next to a Mystery Helmet. You can see the size difference pretty clearly here:

I didn't use the RF stalk or topper from the kit. Shown here is the helmet with replacement parts by Bobamaker:

Overall, the kit is comparable in size and price to the Don Post helmets found on ebay, but won't warp like the soft vinyl DPs. I wouldn't troop in it myself since it looks a bit silly on me, but if you fit the helmet and are on a budget, it's a great way to go.
